Paper Piecing Card – Sent with Love using ColorPlan

Paper piecing is a fun way to add a little interest to any basic shape. It is super easy to create this look and the results are unique. We created the heart on the front of this card by cutting out random shapes of cardstock and butt fitting and adhering these pieces together on a sheet of text weight paper (aka paper piecing). We cut out the heart using scissors, making sure all colors of the pieced cardstock were showing. The large heart was inspired by the pattern paper that is featured on the card front.

This card uses 5 colors of cardstock from our ColorPlan line. We matched the colors from the ColorPlan cardstock to the pattern paper and are really happy with how well they coordinate. The colors we used are: Mid Green, Lavender, Smoke, Real Grey and White Frost. We drew little black polka dots on the sheet of White Frost to again mimic the pattern paper.
