EVO paper – It’s Magical!

Last week we introduced a new paper product to our line up of specialty papers. EVO, the EVOlution of Synthetic Paper. In case you missed it EVO is an uncoated polypropylene synthetic paper. EVO is a comparable and affordable choice to other synthetic papers on the market.

EVO Paper
POLYPROPYLENE, UNCOATED
10 MIL, 250 GSM, 76# COVER
AVAILABLE SIZES: 5″X7″, 8.5″X11″, 9″X12″, & 11″X14″

We shared a few examples of this paper using alcohol ink. Want to see what we created from this experiment?

First we applied various colors of blue, purple, pink and metallic gold alcohol inks to 5″ x 7″ sheet of EVO paper.  We moved the ink around and applied more isopropyl alcohol with an eye dropper to create this magical galaxy look.

We let the ink dry. The ink settles on the top of the paper so the paper doesn’t really get ‘wet’. Once the ink dries the paper remains completely flat. Next we trimmed the paper in half a 3.5″ x 5″ and mounted onto a sheet of Colorplan Ebony cardstock.

We designed a cut file using the word Magical and cut from white cardstock using a Silhouette Cameo e-cutter. This design is layered over the galaxy background. We added a few sequins and stamped a few words to complete our card greeting. You could use any word die to achieve a similar look.
