Perfectly Pretty with Perfect Layers

Welcome back to another product play date with Perfect Paper Crafting. We hope you enjoyed our shares from last week. It is always so much fun to see what others create with our Wood paper and last week was no exception.

ARC July 27 Perfect Layers (5 of 5)

Don’t you just love the look of inlay wood? These 3.5″ x 5″ note cards are going for that inlay look with a little bit of a graphic approach. We used the Perfect Paper Crafting’s paper cutting mat to achieve these perfectly cut angles! This tool made it super quick and easy to achieve such a detailed look with our Wood paper.

Create a gift set … pair these card with our 4Bar Cherry Wood envelopes for a great and memorable gift!

Tip: On the card above we used the Perfect Layers 1/16″ spacing mark to align each cut piece of Cherry wood for exact spacing before adhering. So easy. We love the look of the herringbone inlay wood!!!

Each stripe of Wood paper on this alternating Birch and Cherry Wood diagonal card was cut using the 5/8″ mark on the Perfect Layers tool. No measuring needed, just line up and cut with a hobby blade.

Cutting angles can be tricky. The Perfect Paper Crafting’s paper cutting mat has easy printed guides for cutting angles. So smart. Cut away and create an angled masterpiece.

We had a blast playing with the Perfect Paper Crafting products that we just couldn’t stop layering! We decided to play off of the layering theme a little bit more and created a layered Cherry WoodFlower embellishment using this cut file from Silhouette. This flower took a super long time to assemble but the end result is pretty cool. It’s a good thing using the Perfect Layers Mini tool saved us time on the card base!

Look at these crisp, straight layers! Love it.

Coloring on Wood Paper with Chameleon Pens

This week has flown by. We are back and so excited to share more Chameleon Pen and Wood paper projects. We were floored by the amazing projects and talent that was shared last week. We have quickly become Chameleon addicts.

ARC Chameleon Starfish 6

We have two pieces of home decor to share. First is this Starfish print on Birch Wood paper. This is a larger scale coloring project and is super simple to create with only RD4 and YL2 Chameleon Pens, one sheet of Birch Wood paper, starfish art file (from Vintage Fangirl) and an inkjet printer.

ARC Chameleon Starfish 5

1. Print this starfish file onto an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of Birch Wood paper.

2. Color away using RD4 and YL2 Chameleon Pens.

ARC Chameleon Starfish 3

That’s it! So simple and so stunning. The red and yellow tones in these pens blend perfectly for a nice orange color.

Chameleon pens are alcohol based so they blend nicely and work with alcohol blending solutions. This next project is a little playful and fun. Follow these simple steps below:

ARC Chameleon 3 Birch

1. Download this free coloring page from Amy Tangerine (So Many Reasons).

2. Print the So Many Reasons file onto an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of Birch Wood paper.

3. Color each letter a different color using the Primary Color tones Chameleon Pens.

ARC Chameleon 1 Birch

4. Randomly add droplets of Ranger / Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol blending solution and watch the magic happen.

ARC Chameleon 2 Birch

We think this technique is super fun and gives us SO MANY REASONS TO BE HAPPY!

Perfect Paper Crafting and ARC Crafts!

We told you July was full of fun product play and shares. Today we like to introduce you to our friends over at Perfect Paper Crafting and specifically their Perfect Layers product! True to their name, we had a perfect experience using their products. We made this colorful HELLO card using Perfect Layers and Cherry Wood paper.

ARC July 20 PPC 5

The Perfect Layers tools helped us achieve straight cut lines and absolutely perfectly spaced layers on our projects. It was so easy and took the measuring and thinking out of the mix. Perfect Paper Crafting’s paper cutting mat is the perfect size for small jobs. We found it an excellent size for card making. We used both of these products to create our HELLO card. It’s also extra cool that these products are small making them great choices for crafting on the go.

Supplies for the HELLO card: Cherry Wood paper, Perfect Layers Mini, Perfect Cutting mat, light blue card stock, blue card stock, yellow card stock, red card stock, Hello die, Big Shot, red ribbon, adhesive and hobby blade.
