Add a little Real Wood to your Holiday Cards

We are always so inspired when we see projects made from our Real Wood paper. It makes us so happy! Often we pin these creations to our Pinterest boards. You can see many fun projects here. Have you made something from our Real Wood Paper? Be sure to tag us on Instagram (@etc.papers) or Facebook so we can see and share.

This week we are sharing a round of Holiday cards using our new Real Wood Tags. All cards use one similar template for slightly different looks. Season’s Greetings!

Tag It! – Tag those gifts

Tagging those holiday gifts has never been easier. Make a statement with our beautiful Real Wood tags. Or create a design of your own using our Real Wood paper. Real Wood paper is easy to cut, punch and print on. We create the above Merry Christmas Tag design and printed multiples on Real Cherry Wood paper. After printing a full sheet of 12 we punched out each tag with a shape punch, added a red berry and a little hemp twine. These tags will really help us dress up our gifts. Happy wrapping.

Wooden Photo Holder & Clipboard

Display your favorite photo, quote or artwork on our new Wooden photo holder. This new item is available now in our online store for only $14.99.

We created this fun piece of word art using Real Wood Birch and Cherry paper, a Minc foil machine and heat transfer foil. Heat foil will transfer to toner from a copy machine. We took sheets of our Real wood paper to a local copy center for laser printing and then tested various heat settings on the Minc machine to achieve the foil transfer. Since our Real Wood paper has a varied grain, the foil transfer also was a little varied. We love the results!

Display your art!

Our Wooden photo holder measures 10″ x 10″ x 0.5″. The metal silver clip is attached to the wood and functions like a clipboard. We printed this fun statement on a 5″ x 7″ sheet of Real Wood Birch paper. Clip your favorite quote, artwork or photos on this lovely sign!

Fall Home Decor

The leaves have started changing color around here, and Autumn is in full swing. We have more great new products to share that are perfect for this season. Check out these adorable Fall themed wooden home decor signs, Fall Words & 3 Pumpkins. These signs are all ready to go, no DIY required.

Each of these small signs measure 5″ x 5″ x 1.5″.

The wooden pumpkins come in a set of 3.

Dress up those pumpkins!

We are particularly fond of the three pumpkin signs. If you are into a little DIY, you could temporarily alter these pumpkins to be specific to Halloween. Turn them into darling little jack-o-lanterns with hand cut black cardstock shapes. Be sure to use a removable adhesive on the black cardstock, so when you remove the paper, your pumpkin signs are usable throughout the Thanksgiving season.

Happy Fall Y’all!

Thanks for stopping by. Don’t forget to check out all the new Home Decor goodies in our online store. Come back soon.

Wood Label Love!

Have you seen our ARC Design Wood labels? These labels can be used for all sorts of projects and crafts. Our Design Labels come in five finishes; Cherry Wood, Birch Wood, Rustic Cherry, Rustic Birch and ChalkTalk® and feature 26 label shapes. We used the heart label in all four finishes of Wood to create this fun display of vases. You can print and write on our wood paper. Here we like the look of leaving the heart labels plain as a decorative accent. Now what should we fill these vases with?

Supplies for Heart Wood labels on tin vases: Birch Wood Design Labels, Cherry Wood Design Labels, Rustic Cherry Wood Design Labels, Rustic Birch Wood Design Labels, ruler, pencil and four white tin vases (IKEA).

Instructions for Heart Wood labels on tin vases:

  1. Gather supplies.
  2. Mark each vase 1/2″ up from the bottom using a pencil and a ruler.
  3. Take Wood heart label piece from ARC Birch, Cherry, Rustic Cherry and Rustic Birch labels.
  4. Adhere each heart onto the bottom portion of white tin vases using the pencil centering mark you created in step 2.
  5. Fill!

Birch Wood Keepsake Box

Need a special place to keep all of those love notes you’ll be receiving in a few days? Some cards and notes are too important to throw-away but rather need to be tucked away! This week we created a keepsake box from a chipboard box and Birch Wood paper. Wood paper cuts great and made it super easy to create a heart faux wood inlay. This Birch Wood Keepsake box is simple and stunning. DIY directions for you to follow are listed below.

Supplies for Wood heart inlay box: 1 sheet of Birch Wood adhesive backed paper, 2 sheets of Birch Wood paper, chipboard box, pink ink, brayer, sanding block, heart die, Big Shot die-cutting machine, tape and foam adhesive.

Instructions to create Birch Wood heart inlay box:

1. Measure the top of your box. Our box is 7″ x 9″. Cut the Birch wood adhesive backed paper to 7″x 9″ (or the size of your box top). Remove the adhesive liner and adhere the wood paper to the box top. Lightly sand the outside edges with a sanding block if needed.

2. Ink a foam brayer in pink ink and transfer the ink onto a sheet of Birch wood paper. Roll ink onto paper until you receive the ink coverage you desire.

3. Cut out a heart from the pink colored Birch Wood paper and one from plain Birch Wood paper using a heart die and a Big Shot.

4. Place the cut out pink Birch wood heart into the negative space created from the cut plain Birch wood paper. Image should fit like a puzzle piece. Flip over and adhere the perimeter edges of the pink heart down to the Birch wood paper with tape. Check to be sure all edges nestle tightly.

5. Trim out the assembled inlay wood heart into a 5″ x 5″ square. Adhere to the wood box front with foam adhesive.
