EVO Synthetic Paper – Jellyfish Art

Hello friends. Today we are sharing this Jelly fish art piece that was totally inspired by the process of creation. We had no idea when we started painting this EVO background and used a hair dryer and blew into a straw to help move the alcohol ink around. The ink flows so freely on EVO synthetic paper … like tentacles in water. Suddenly we were inspired to create this Jellyfish art.
First we applied alcohol ink one color at a time. We used a straw and a hair dryer to push the ink away and in a downward direction.
We continued to add color and use the hair dryer to push the ink out and away from the “head” of the jelly fish. We dropped a little slate near the top to start to create a head.
The colors/brands we used are: Piñata Passion Purple & Brass, Ranger Sailboat Blue, and Tim Holtz Slate.

Once the paper was dry (which is very quickly with EVO) we went back in and start to sketch out a whimsical Jelly fish. We used Microperm pens to draw directly onto the art. These pens work fantastic on EVO and do not smear.

This piece measures 9″x12″. EVO is available in 3 pad sizes. Purchase EVO here.
