A Simple Thank You in Colorplan Chartreuse – NEW 8.5″x11″

We have much to be Thankful for around here and have been sending out simple Thank You notes acknowledging all the kindness that has been sent our way.

Did you know our Colorplan Cardstock is now offered in 12″ x 12″ and 8.5″ x 11″ individual and assortment packs? This is exciting news for scrap bookers, paper crafters, and card makers alike. A color for every project and now a size for every project!

These simple Thank You cards were so easy to create and add just the right amount of “handmade”. We love the dollar spot at our local Target. Often we find blank note cards and envelopes, usually 6-8 for a dollar. What a steal! However these simple cards can be rather boring. To make these more unique we added a large word (Thanks) cut from our Chartreuse card stock and popped to the front of the card using foam adhesive. We were able to cut 8 ‘THANKS’ from one sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ Chartreuse cardstock. Love it.

Did you know? Chartreuse is a color between yellow and green that was named because of its resemblance to the green color of one of the French liqueurs called green chartreuse, introduced in 1764.

We offer 18 colors of Colorplan cardstock in individual packs (10 sheets per pack) and have just added a new size, 8.5 x 11. You can see all the colors offered here.

Let it Snow – Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Is it snowing where you live? Here in Las Vegas it’s sunny and there is no sight of snow. Who are we kidding, it rarely snows in Vegas. Since we are dreaming of a winter wonderland we decided to create a few snow themed cards and treats using our Colorplan Winter cardstock assortment. Colors used on these projects are White Frost, New Blue and Sapphire.

We offer Colorplan cardstock in 5 assortment packs. Make something great!

Happy Holidays!

Season’s Greetings! Here’s an up close look at the ETC Papers Holiday card for the 2020 season. We created this Snowflake card using Oil Slick Holographic and Colorplan white frost card stock.

Oil Slick
Every card was lovingly hand cut and hand assembled. We cut each snowflake on our E-Cutter and weeded out all the negative shapes to create window opening to showcase the Holographic paper. We love how the Holographic Oil Slick cardstock swirls and spins like a winter storm making it the perfect choice to feature on our card.

These cards are super fun and look different from every angle. Just like a snow storm.
Wishing you and yours health and happiness this holiday season. Happy Holidays!

Holly and Jolly – using Colorplan Winter Cardstock assortment

Tis’ the season for holiday projects and holiday cards. This oversized card was super fun to create. We used the Vermillion Red and Lockwood Green carstock from our Winter Colorplan cardstock assortment. The large polka dots were added using a sponge dauber and white ink. This card is festive and we can’t wait to pop it in the mail. Have a great week!

Thankful card using ColorPlan Assortment packs (Fall and Natural)

We have so much to be Thankful for. We made this beautiful ‘Thankful’ wreath card using our Naturals and Fall assortments of ColorPlan card stock.

Our ColorPlan assortment packs include 10 sheets of quality 100# cardstock in 12″x12″, two sheets of each color.

Fall Assortment colors: Scarlet, Claret, Citrine, Rust, Mid-Green
Naturals Assortment Colors: Smoke, Real Grey, Harvest, Bagdad Brown, Mist

To make a similar card follow these easy steps.

  1. Cut a piece of 8.5 x 11″ Harvest ColorPlan cardstock in half. Score and fold in half to create a card base.
  2. Cut a piece of Harvest ColorPlan cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″.
  3. Using an embossing folder and a die cutting machine emboss a patten onto the cute piece of Harvest ColorPlan Cardstcok. We used a chevron herringbone pattern that has a woven sweater appearance. The Harvest color is available in our Naturals assortment pack.
  4. Punch out 4-5 leaf sprigs of each color from the ColorPlan Fall assortment pack (Scarlet, Claret, Citrine, Rust, Mid-Green). We uses a leaf punch found at our local craft store.
  5. Arrange the leaf sprigs in alternating colors to form a circle wreath. Adhere in place using mini glue dots or any strong adhesive.
  6. Adhere a wood greeting to the center of the wreath. We found a 4 pack of large fall wood greetings at our local Target for $1.00. Got to love the dollar spot at Target.

Batty for Non-Shed Glitter Cardstock

We are absolutely BATTY for our non-shed Glitter cardstock. We use the Black Glitter cardstock and a sheet of Claret ColorPlan cardstock to create this last minute Halloween card. While Halloween may look a little different this year we still want to send a little spook to friends and family by sending a little bit of trick and treat via the mail.

You can find all 20 colors our non-shed Glitter cardstock here.

And ColorPlan cardstock here.

Happy HALLOWEEN everyone. Stay well.

Leaves are changing with Magma Holographic Cardstock

Look at these leaves!!! We die cut leaf shapes from our new Magma Holographic cardstock. The Magma design is varied and reflects the light in a sort of camouflage way. This paper design literally mimics the look of leaves changing color. We crafted a simple card using one leaf and a ‘Thankful’ stamped greeting. Check out how different the same leaf looks in different light! So cool.

This card also features Citrine cardstock from the ColorPlan line.

Paper Piecing Card – Sent with Love using ColorPlan

Paper piecing is a fun way to add a little interest to any basic shape. It is super easy to create this look and the results are unique. We created the heart on the front of this card by cutting out random shapes of cardstock and butt fitting and adhering these pieces together on a sheet of text weight paper (aka paper piecing). We cut out the heart using scissors, making sure all colors of the pieced cardstock were showing. The large heart was inspired by the pattern paper that is featured on the card front.

This card uses 5 colors of cardstock from our ColorPlan line. We matched the colors from the ColorPlan cardstock to the pattern paper and are really happy with how well they coordinate. The colors we used are: Mid Green, Lavender, Smoke, Real Grey and White Frost. We drew little black polka dots on the sheet of White Frost to again mimic the pattern paper.

Below is a quick look of our current ColorPlan colors and 5 unique assortment packs. More details can be found on our ColorPlan page.

ColorPlan – Emboss like a BOSS!

We love the look of crisp embossed cardstock and it’s so easy to achieve. To achieve a deep and crisp emboss lightly spray mist the ColorPlan cardstock to soften the paper fibers before inserting into your embossing folder. Then run the paper and embossing folder through your Big Shot or other manual die-cutting machine. It’s that easy. Check out the detail and deep emboss we were able to achieve with no cracking.

We’ve used these pastel ColorPlan colors: Azure Blue, Park Green, and Candy Pink. These colors are available individually and in our Spring ColorPlan assortment.

More details about ColorPlan cardstock can be found on our website.
