Gaga over Glitter Paper

Remember when we showed you a few samples we created with Printable Glitter paper? In case you missed it, you can see that post here.  Well … we received such rave reviews that we have decided to add this amazing product to our line up of specialty papers; in white, silver and champagne. How exciting is this? Glitter without the mess, so cool! Click here to purchase it on our website.

Ready for some cute project inspiration? We had a birthday to attend and needed a quick card. We designed a simple phrase and printed the design onto 1 sheet of white glitter paper. Once printed, we cut out and mounted onto a card base.

The card turned out super cute. It was so quick and easy to make that we had time to create a matching gift tag. Viola! Done. Gift wrapped.

Next we created a little word art for our craft room. Something fun to showcase on an inspiration board or frame it for more permanent art. If you are a maker, these are words to live by!

Did you know you can stamp and color on this Glitter paper?  The results are amazing.  We stamped this ice cream cone with Momento ink and then colored with dye-based markers.  Loving the results.

This may look familiar. We showed you this stamped camera image when we posted about Chameleon markers. This stamped camera was colored with Chameleon markers, which are alcohol based. Both dye and alcohol based markers work great on this paper.

When in doubt, just add glitter!

Imagine the Possibilities – Ranger, Tim Holtz & Et Cetera Papers

Et Cetera Papers is all about versatility, inspiration and bringing you unusually good products. Folks constantly tell us how they’re having a blast creating their own special masterpieces using our real wood paper. It’s our desire and pleasure to bring inspiration and help contribute to the creative process by providing great products to d.i.y.er’s, crafters and artisan’s.

Today, we’re super excited to share a special post combining our woodgrain papers with Ranger Ink and Tim Holtz products. Imagine the possibilities! Check out the creation Tim Holtz made on the Ranger ink site.

It makes perfectly good sense pairing our wood paper with Ranger Ink and Tim Holtz products. Our wood paper is a wonderful canvas working as a great foundation for just about any project you could possibly think about creating. Our wood grain paper is made using thin slices of real wood, making it a perfect choice when applying layers upon layers of special types of techniques.

Our tag is totally inspired by Tim’s style. We’ve had the opportunity to now test and showcase how those various distress inks, sprays and mediums play in tandem with our wood paper. We love the results and can’t wait to create even more!

Supplies used:

  • We used Tim Holtz Distress ink to really enhance the wood grain in the paper and add just a little more visual depth and color. We love the colors included in the Tim Holtz Distress Minis Kit 1. These color tones pair well with the Cherry wood paper

Look at how the Distress Mica Spray reflects the light off of the wood paper. LOVE IT!

Faux Deer Head made from Cherry Wood paper

We have so many deer come through our yard, and get excited every time we see them. They just wander through the yard and leave as quick as they arrive. Our decorating style is woodsy, and while I haven’t always wanted a deer head for the wall, I really love the look of faux animal head mounts. These are very animal friendly and is such a popular trend! We’ve seen animal heads made from ceramic, metal, wood and fabric. These heads can be found in all shapes and sizes from Elephant heads to Unicorns!

We set out to create a faux deer head using our wood paper. We found this cool cardboard deer head, Bucky, over at Cardboard Safari.  While the deer head looks pretty awesome in cardboard he looks amazing covered in our adhesive backed Cherry Wood paper. What do you think?

Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day! We hope you are enjoying your day off. The team at ARC Crafts has been working very hard lately. We are getting ready to add a few new products and are working on more exciting changes that are coming later this month. Stay tuned!

Check out this awesome office art print. Working hard and being nice is our MANTRA! It’s great to have a visual reminder that we can see daily. We printed our file using an inkjet printer onto a sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ Cherry Wood paper. We cut the print down to an 8.5″ x 8.5″ square and then inserted into a frame with an 8″ x 8″ window. Stylish and inspiring.

We appreciate you and your readership. Your efforts have paid off … you’ve worked hard and you deserve a little reward. We created this downloadable printable just for you, FREE! Simply download this file, print and frame. You are welcome! Enjoy the holiday from your friends at Et Cetera Papers.

3. Cut a piece of watercolor paper to 4″ x 5.25″.

4. Add a wash of watercolor paint to the watercolor paper. We complimented our watercolor wash to the color of Nuvo Glitter Drops we used. Let dry.

5. Cut card base to 4.25″ x 11″, score and fold in half.

6. Center and adhere watercolor paper to card base.

7. Remove adhesive liner from the die cut Wood paper embellishments. Adhere Wood paper embellishments directly to watercolor paper, letting the watercolor wash show through. Or, leave the adhesive liner on and pop the Wood paper embellishment up with foam adhesive.
