We HEART non-shed glitter!

Looking to make a sparkly and mess free card? We’ve got you covered. Today we are sharing another non-shed glitter paper project, a 4″x4″ love note. This note showcases our Light Blue Non-shed Glitter Cardstock.

I Heart YOU love note – step by step instructions:

  1. Cut card base to 8″ x 4″. Score and fold in half for 4″x4″ card base.
  2. Round the corners of card base with rounded corner punch.
  3. Cut a piece of Light Blue Non-shed Glitter Cardstock to 2″ x 3.5″. Using scissors, snip a flag shape on the bottom of glitter card stock. See project for example. Adhere to card base.
  4. Cut a piece of pink card stock to 3″ x 2.5″. Stamp the circle stamp in pink ink onto the pink card stock to create a polka dot pattern. Round the corners with a corner round punch. Adhere pink card stock to card base. Use project example for placement suggestion.
  5. Cut a piece of brown card stock to 3″ x 1″. Adhere to pink card stock. Use project example for placement suggestion.
  6. Cut a piece of teal card stock to 3″ x .5″. Using a paper piercing tool pierce small holes across the card stock to mimic stitching. Follow the pierced holes with a white gel pen to mimic the thread. Adhere to brown card stock. Use project example for placement suggestion.
  7. Stamp a greeting on white card stock. We used an alphabet stamp set to stamp the words ‘I HEART YOU’. Alternate brown and pink ink colors. Use project example for placement suggestion.
  8. Add heart embellishment and linens thread to card front. Use project example for placement suggestion.

Raining Glitter- You Brighten My Day!

It’s been raining a fair amount this July. Crazy weather calls for bright and cheery cards, right?! We created these two umbrella cards to help brighten the day. Toss in a little glitter paper and the day truly sparkles! These cards feature our silver, light blue and aqua non-shed glitter cardstock.

We were able to create two cards using the same cut file on Silhouette Cameo. We cut the umbrella in both aqua and light blue glitter paper and then swapped the colors of the umbrella interior for that two-tone effect.

Supplies:

I’m Stuck On You – Green Glitter Cardstock

Shades of Green Glitter

This fun cactus card features our non-shedding glitter cardstock in shades of green and pink. Our glitter paper can be cut with scissors, die-cut, folded and you don’t have to worry about the glitter shedding everywhere. You get all that dazzle without any mess. Win, win!

The cactus images on this card were cut using a Silhouette Cameo. Glitter paper cuts like a dream using the glitter paper settings. This cut file is available in the Silhouette Design store here.

The Art of the Envelope

We spent the weekend working on addressing our Holiday cards. We are in love with the calligraphy and hand lettered envelopes that are so popular. There is certainly an art to writing and addressing a creative envelope. Practice makes perfect.

Check out this amazing tutorial on envelope address hand lettering at Oh So Beautiful.

Are you familiar with Lettermate? Lettermate is such a handy tool. It is an envelope addressing guide for those of us that have trouble writing in a straight line. This tool is particularly great to use with our Real Wood Envelopes. Check out the Lettermate site for additional creative tips for addressing envelopes.

Check out our wide variety of wood envelopes in our online store. Envelopes are available in a variety of finishes and sizes.

We love our MOM’s – Great gift and card ideas

This Sunday is Mother’s Day. We sure LOVE all the mother’s in our lives. It’s not too late to create a handmade gift from the heart. We are here to inspire you with a few heartfelt goodies from projects past. Happy Mother’s Day!

Mother’s Day Memories – handmade card

Make your Mother’s Day memorable with a stunning handmade card. Give her a card made from the heart that is as stylish and classy as she is. We created this handmade card using our Real Cherry Wood paper as a canvas. Real Wood paper makes a beautiful base for any project.

Are you familiar with Heartfelt Creations? We love how elegant and elaborate the stamps that Heartfelt Creations produce. They are truly gorgeous products. We used the All Glammed Up Shoe stamp to create the primary image for our card. The shoe image has been stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder. We colored and then embellished with handmade paper flowers, glitter and Prills.

Heartfelt Creations often offers classes at craft shows across the country on how to use their products, offering great cardmaking tips and inspiration. Take a minute to check them out if you are not familiar. Please note that we are not affiliated with Heartfelt Creations but love their products and wanted to share this beautiful card.

Enjoy and happy paper crafting.

Neat & Tangled Product share with Real Wood Paper – Day 4

Welcome to our last day of product shares with Neat & Tangled. We are sad to see this week end. Today we are sharing a couple more projects using the Doily Envelope Die.

With this first project we’ve used the versatile die to create a decorative banner. We cut 12 banner pieces from Real Birch Wood paper using the small flap piece of the Doily Envelope die. We lined up the cut banner pieces side by side and adhered pom-pom trim across the top. Super cute!

We can use this banner for all sorts of events. It’s elegant and generic enough to be used for just about any event (baby shower, birthday party, wedding). Endless opportunities!

We created this banner with the Doily Envelope die and Real Birch Wood paper.

Our second project today is a bright and cheery hello card. We used the negative space from the small flap of the Doily Envelope die to create a stencil. We used that stencil as a mask and dabbed a little yellow ink onto white card stock to create the background for this Hello card. The Hello sentiment is cut using a cut file on Real Cherry Wood paper.

Doily Envelope Die

Doily Envelope is a set of 2 dies that you can use to create the most intricate, eye catching envelopes and card details!  When folded this is an A2 sized envelope (4 3/8″ x 5 3/4″).

Main die – 5 3/4″ x 10 7/8″
Small flap – 2 7/8″ x 4 1/2″

Hello and welcome to a super fun week of product shares. We’ve partnered up with our friends over at Neat & Tangled to share a few of a their new products and how amazing they work with our Real Wood papers. You are in for an inspirational treat!

Doily Envelope Die

Today we are sharing this Cherry Wood Envelope and stamped wedding invite made with the most detailed and intricate Doily Envelope die. This is a gorgeous die design and were smitten on first sight. Our Real Wood Paper looks amazing when it has been cut using this die.

We’ve created two intricate doily envelopes using our Real Cherry Wood and Birch Wood papers. These envelopes are stunning and this Doily die cuts our wood paper like a dream.

Calathea Stamp & Matching Die

We stamped the floral and fauna images on the bottom of this wedding invitation using the Calthea Stamp set and matching Calthea dies. The die images helped us create simple masks so we could overlap the stamped images easily.

We lined the backside of this wedding invite with Real Birch Wood paper. If you look closely you can see the wood grain through the front of the invitation. Our wood paper has an adhesive backing that makes it super easy to adhere to any surface.

Signed & Sealed – Wax seals on Real Wood Envelopes

Real Wood envelopes have a special presence and indicate something important is inside. We’ve shared some beautiful ways to address the front of our wood envelopes in the past. Read about that in our Art of the Envelope post.

Elevate the back of your envelope with an elegant wax seal. Wax seals can add a touch of value and permanence to letters, envelopes, packages and special documents. Add a bit of old-world charm to your correspondence.

E is for Etc. Paper.

You can purchase custom monogram wax seal kits online. Ours was purchased on Amazon.

Wax seals are not only for envelopes, seal any package. The hot wax adheres to all surfaces.
