Valentine Heart Magnetic Display Instructions:

1. Trim a piece of old book paper and magnetic roll to 6×6. Set aside both.

2. Next, download your free copy of the heart pattern we used. Print and cut out, then trace onto a sheet of red grid pattern paper and cut out.

3. Using a sheet of Rustic Birch , cut the letters ‘L’, ‘O’, ”V’, and ‘E’ with the letters die and die cutting machine. Peel backing from letters and adhere to front of red grid pattern paper heart, stacking the ‘L’ and ‘O’ directly over the ‘V’ and ‘E’.

4. Using a mini heart punch, punch one heart from the red polka dot pattern paper. Adhere to the center of the ‘O’ with a foam dimensional.

5. Trim a piece of 1/2-inch red ribbon to approximately 15-inches in length. Wrap around the ribbon around the paper, approximately 1 1/-2 inches from the bottom of the sheet. Fasten with a knot and trim ends at an angle.

6. Adhere red grid pattern paper heart to the center of the 6×6 old book paper piece, over the top of the ribbon.

7. Next, adhere old book paper to paper side of 6×6 magnetic piece.

Neat & Tangled Product share with Real Wood Paper – Day 4

Welcome to our last day of product shares with Neat & Tangled. We are sad to see this week end. Today we are sharing a couple more projects using the Doily Envelope Die.

With this first project we’ve used the versatile die to create a decorative banner. We cut 12 banner pieces from Real Birch Wood paper using the small flap piece of the Doily Envelope die. We lined up the cut banner pieces side by side and adhered pom-pom trim across the top. Super cute!

We can use this banner for all sorts of events. It’s elegant and generic enough to be used for just about any event (baby shower, birthday party, wedding). Endless opportunities!

We created this banner with the Doily Envelope die and Real Birch Wood paper.

Our second project today is a bright and cheery hello card. We used the negative space from the small flap of the Doily Envelope die to create a stencil. We used that stencil as a mask and dabbed a little yellow ink onto white card stock to create the background for this Hello card. The Hello sentiment is cut using a cut file on Real Cherry Wood paper.

Doily Envelope Die

Doily Envelope is a set of 2 dies that you can use to create the most intricate, eye catching envelopes and card details!  When folded this is an A2 sized envelope (4 3/8″ x 5 3/4″).

Main die – 5 3/4″ x 10 7/8″
Small flap – 2 7/8″ x 4 1/2″

Memorial Day Wishes

We are so grateful for the men and women who defended and serve our treasured country to provide us our freedoms and remember you for your ultimate sacrifice and wish to honor you today. How grateful are we to be Americans and live in such a great country where our fallen heroes have put their lives on the line for us?

Home Decor Piece

Here is another home decor piece we created that highlights our great country. We stamped a large United States image in brown ink on a sheet of Birch Wood paper. You can highlight a particular State by stamping that State onto another sheet of Birch Wood paper. Then cut out the State shape and adhere with foam tape. Easy!

We hope you have a safe and inspiring Memorial day.

Our office will be closed on Monday, May 30th, in observance of Memorial Day. Any orders placed after 12pm on Friday May 27th will be ready on Tuesday May 31th. We will reopen on Tuesday May 31th at 8 am PST. Please make a note of it. Call us at (702) 851-7277 or email us at with any questions.

Take Note! DIY Birch Wood Notebooks

We find it so rewarding to make something by hand. This week we are sharing two DIY notebooks created with Birch Wood paper.

Have you heard of the Cinch Machine? It’s a great little binding system that allows you to bind together papers to create a spiral notebook. You can purchase a Cinch Machine at your local craft store. We found our Cinch machine at JoAnn’s. We love finding products that work well with ours. Did you know you can also purchase our Birch Wood paper at JoAnn’s? It’s 40% off right now (online only).

You can make notebooks of varying sizes with the Cinch machine. The tool will punch easily through our wood paper. We made small (3×5) pocketbook sized notebooks. It was super simple.

First decide how many pages and what materials you want in your notebook. Our notebook uses Birch wood paper for the back and front cover. We used a heavy-weight copy paper for the inside.

1. Determine a measurement for your front and back cover and then cut. Our Birch wood paper cover is 3″ x 5″.

2. Determine the number of inside sheets and cut these down a quarter inch smaller. Our copy paper sheets are 2.75″ x 4.75″.

You are now ready to assemble. Bind your notebook in three easy steps:

1. Punch holes on notebook spine. The Cinch machine allows you to punch the perfect holes without measuring.

2. Thread cover, inside sheets and back cover onto spiral wire.

3. Cinch spiral wire closed.

Your notebook is now ready for use. Thanks for stopping by.
