Remember this EVO background? We create this gorgeous piece last month and just keep staring at it. The green, yellow and orange colors have the feel of leaves changing colors. Aha! Inspiration strikes again. We decided to turn this piece of art into this colorful THANKS card.
We love the gradient look on the original piece and wanted to mimic that look on this card.
To start we grabbed a leaf punch. EVO paper cuts like a dream and punches like a dream as well. We used this leaf punch from EK to punch out a bunch of leaves. We cut around 10-12 leaves from each color band. We arranged the leaves on the card front in the same gradient color pattern, going from orange to yellow and then into green. The hint of gold throughout the original piece ties everything together nicely on the card.
Each cut leaf image was tacked down using liquid glue. We adhered a simple die cut THANKS sentiment to the card front.
