Sparkling Waves created on EVO Synthetic Paper

We love testing new alcohol inks on EVO Synthetic Paper. This ink is from Couture Creations. It’s called Golden Age Cobalt and it has little flecks of shimmer in the ink. We created a few sparkly backgrounds using just this color.  Those bits of sparkle are in the ink.

We used these background as the foundation for two whale cards.
This first card is so simple. We created a sparkling water background on EVO synthetic paper using Couture Creations Golden Age Cobalt alcohol ink. We moved the ink in an upward motion with a straw to try and create a wavy repeating pattern. We stamped a the whale in dark blue ink and mounted to Colorplan White Frost cardstock. We added a few water droplet embellishments directly to the EVO as an accent.
This card was so much fun to create that we made a second version. On this second version we using a watery looking background for the bottom. We masked out the bottom half and added water splatters to the top. The whale has been stamped, hand cut out and mounted to the middle of the EVO, separating the waves from the spatters. We used EVO 5×7 to create the backgrounds.
We think both cards are fintastic! We love a good whale pun!
