Hello! Happy Monday and last day of January. This month sure flew by quickly.
Today we are sharing a sweet card for a sweet friend. Actually, we could send this card to so many people. We are lucky to have such kind people in our lives. This card was created using EVO Synthetic paper.
A few tips on how this card came together.
- First, we painted an interesting pattern on EVO Synthetic paper. For this card we used inks and the paper from the EVO & Piñata ink starter pack. We painted a design on a full sheet of 8.5″x11″ paper and then cut out a 4″x4″ section for this card front. TIP: save the leftover painted EVO paper for future projects as they come in so handy for a quick card or tag.
- Next, we stamped a large floral image onto the 4″x4″ pattern. We used Gina K amalgam ink and a Misti stamp alignment tool to ensure perfect placement. (If the ink is not dark enough you can stamp it again until you get the desired dark and even ink coverage.)
- Once the stamp ink was dry (Gina K ink dries very quickly and does not smear) we then went in and colored sections of the floral image using Copic markers.
- To make the flower really pop, we stamped it again on White Frost Colorplan cardstock. We hand cut the flower out with paper snips and adhered it with tape for a little dimension. We then lay the cut flower directly over the top of the larger stamped image so it appeared seamless.
