Hello! Do you decorate for Holidays? Specifically Halloween? We love it! We have an easy project that you can recreate to SPOOK up your space.  We’ve created a piece of art using EVO synthetic paper, alcohol inks and White Frost Colorplan cardstock. A full list of supplies can be found below.

Supplies:

  • 9″ x 12″ EVO synthetic paper
  • White Frost Colorplan cardstock 8.5″ x 11″
  • Various alcohol inks (blacks & metallics)
  • Isopropyl alcohol
  • Paint brush
  • Sharpie
  • Hobby blade or X-acto knife
  • Adhesive
  • Black frame (8×10)

First you will need to gather supplies for the background piece. We’ve used our EVO 9×12 synthetic paper, various alcohol inks (blacks & metallics) and isopropyl alcohol.

Get creative and paint an abstract background art piece using alcohol inks and isopropyl alcohol. Set aside to dry.

Take a sheet of white cardstock. We’ve used 8.5″ x 11″ Colorplan White Frost. Draw with a sharpie a spider web on one side of the cardstock. You can also use spider web clip art and print onto the cardstock.

Use a hobby blade or X-acto knife to cut away the white (negative space) shapes.

Once complete you should have an large spiderweb. Flip paper over so the web is showing the all white side of the paper.

Arrange the cut web on top of the painted black EVO background until you get a look you like. Adhere the spider web using adhesive. Trim composed artwork down to 8″x10″ and insert into frame.
