We love to try new things with wood sheets. wood sheets are flexible and are an excellent material use for three-dimensional projects. These pretty pinwheels came together in a snap and using wood adds an earthy touch to a fun spring icon. Dress up a package, card or your next project with these fun pinwheels.
Supplies for the ‘Pinwheels’: Cherry wood sheet, Patterned Paper, Coordinating buttons to match pattern paper, Brads, Pinwheel shape from Silhouette, Silhouette cutting machine, hot glue, glue gun, and adhesive.
‘Pinwheel’ Instructions:
1. Using the Pinwheel shape from Silhouette, cut three pinwheels from Cherry wood adhesive sheets and one pinwheels from your patterned paper.
2. Line up two of the cut Cherry wood pinwheels back-to-back, adhesive to adhesive side, stick together.
3. Next line up one cut Cherry wood pinwheel and the cut pinwheel from your patterned paper.
4. Insert a brad in the center of your Cherry wood pinwheel. Roll fold each corner to the center of the pinwheel and fold brad ends to hold into place. Repeat this process with your patterned paper pinwheel.
5. Hot glue a coordinating button to the center of each pinwheel to cover up your brad.
