Business & Calling Cards

Today’s post showcases a fun and easy technique using our White Birch Wood Sheetsand a heat-burning pen. You can add a charming addition to your business or calling cards, it’s as simple as running a wood sheet through your printer.

Supply List:

8.5×11-inch White Birch Wood Sheet

Office or home printer and ink

Heat-burning Pen (Can be purchased for around $10.00 at any craft store or one-stop shopping center such as Walmart).

Stampin’ Trimmer (or any other paper trimmer)

Outlined image (You can download any image from online or create your own using any design program).

Business card design layout, which includes your business or personal contact information.

Instructions:

1. Layout 3.5×2-inch card design using any design program or downloading a predesigned template from online. And format document to 8.5×11-inches.

2. Paste outlined image into card design layout. You may want to maximize the sheet size by placing several card designs next to each other.

3. Print design.

 

4. Trace outlined image with wood burning heat tool, pressing gently as not to burn your fingers. Also, the slower you move the pen along, the darker the line will be. PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to follow all safety warnings and precautions included with heat burning tool packaging, including but not limited to unplugging tool after use, letting it cool completely, and keeping out of reach of children.

5. Once the image is outlined with heat burning tool, trim cards to 3.5×2-inches each using paper trimmer.
