BBQ Invite

Independence Day is this week, and what better way to celebrate than bringing friends and family together for a backyard BBQ! Add a personal touch to your patriotic-colored invitation by embellishing with ETC Paper’s White Birch Wood Sheets and Cherry Wood sheets.

Supplies Used to Create Card:

White Birch Wood Sheet, Sticky backing

Cherry Wood Sheet, Sticky backing

Fiskar’s 1/16-inch hand punch

Stampin’ Up!, Whisper White Card Stock

Stampin’ Up! Soft Sky Card Stock

Stampin’ Up! Decorative Label Punch

Sampin’ Up! Pennant Punch

Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals

1/8-inch glue dots

Pattern Paper (Custom, Rouge Rhombus Design LLC)

Ink on paper, BBQ design (Custom, Rouge Rhombus Design LLC)

Ivory Button

Yellow Striped Bakers Twine

Gold Cotton Thread

1. On a 8.5×11 Whisper White piece of card stock, print custom label (“You’re Invited!”). Be sure to align label close to the edge of the page, as you will be using the other half of the card stock to create card base.

2. Once printed, cut 8.5×11 Whisper White Card Stock in half, to 8.5×5.5. Score the blank side at 4.25-inches and fold in half.

3. Trim “You’re Invited!” label out using scissors.

4. Punch White Birch, sticky backed wood sheet using Decorative Label Punch. Peel backing off and ahere to card, approximately 1.5-inches from the bottom of the card.

5. Place dimensionals on back of “You’re Invited!” label and adhere to card about 1/2-inch from the bottom of the card.

6. Using Pennant Punch, punch out White Birch wood sheet, Red Pattern Paper, and Soft Sky Card Stock.

7. With 1/8-inch hand punch, punch holes in corners of each pennant.

8. Thread Yellow Striped Twine through each pennant and tie a bow at each end.

9. Taking 1-1/2-inch piece of Cherry Sticky , trim width to 1/4-inch using scissors. Clip a half square shape out of one end of the short side of the tape. Peel backer from sheet and adhere to Soft Sky Card Stock.

10. Using needle and Gold Cotton thread, place stitches in Ivory Button holes and tie off thread on the back-side of the button.

11. Adhere Ivory Button to pennant using one 1/8-inch glue dot.

12. Place one-dimensional on the back of each pennant in banner and adhere to card in upper right corner.
